Where the camera goes
High and to the side, keys and hands in frame. A face-on shot hides fingering. The same angle every week makes a collapsed thumb obvious.
Shorter than the whole etude
“Five bars slowly” beats “learn everything”. Students send a clip; you skip eight minutes of wandering.
Pedal is heard and seen
Ask for the feet in frame once per topic. Otherwise a smear gets blamed on the microphone.
